Edwin Jed Fish Gould III, aka “Jed The Fish,” passed away early this morning. He was 69. 

A post on Jed’s Facebook page reads: “At 6 am on April 14, 2025, the world lost one of its most unique and brilliant personalities. Jed The Fish passed away peacefully in his beloved home, and the world will never be the same. RIP Jed, go be with Alice.”

Jed did the afternoon drive shift on LA’s KROQ from 1978 until 2012.

He later worked at KCSN and KLOS before briefly returning to KROQ’s Roq of the ’80s HD-2 channel.
