WWDC (DC101)/Washington, D.C. afternooner Mike Jones (right) chats with Shinedown’s Brent Smith (left) about the Out Of The Darkness Walk at Lincoln Memorial to benefit the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention on October 21st and his personal connection to the cause. The band’s new single is “A Symptom Of Being Human” and they donated a whopping $75,000 and Brent pledged $10,000 more for DC101 + Leidos’ Team One More Light. Jones said, “That’s so huge of them to do and I can’t thank Brent enough.” Brent also talked about touring costs and being out on the road with Papa Roach and reinforced an important message for all bands: “Don’t ever stop talking to your fanbase.” Check out the interview HERE.
