Audacy RVP/Alternative Ross Mahoney had his position eliminated. Mahoney was overseeing WQMP (FM 101.9), WSFS (104.3 The Shark)/Miami, KBZT (ALT 94.9)/San Diego, and KRBZ (ALT 96.5)/Kansas City.

Mahoney said, “I had a great 2 year return to Audacy. I got to work with an amazing group of smart Programmers and talent. It’s never fun to be out of a gig, but the radio business is a business. I don’t take it personally and am thankful to have had the opportunity to work with the brands that I was able to. I can hold my head up high and take comfort in the fact that I did things the right way. I’m going to take a vacation and process everything. I look forward to reconnecting with everyone soon”

Meanwhile, WQMP (FM 101.9)/Orlando flipped from Alternative back to 102 JAMZ playing Throwback artists like 2Pac, Beyoncé, Eminem, Notorious B.I.G., Usher and more. The station was previously 102 JAMZ from 1988-2014.
