Savannah, Georgia’s Jonah Kagen released “God Needs The Devil” on October 16th. The single has over 14M streams on Spotify since the song was originally released on May 3rd. Now based in Nashville, Jonah is crossing from Triple A to Alternative. Jonah says, “‘God Needs The Devil’ is a song about the human condition. It’s the persisting struggle to be good while having a dependence, or at least a false sense of dependence, on something evil. It means so much to me, and I hope you can find some piece of yourself in it.” Jonah first released “Save My Soul” from his self-written and produced 6-song EP, The Roads released in December 2023. Jonah played at the Austin City Limits Music Festival 2024.
