Formed in Los Angeles in 1997, The Exies—a name honoring John Lennon’s shortened term for the 1960s art students in Hamburg that called themselves “the existentialists”—had a storied and successful career before lead singer & songwriter Scott Stevens decided to instead focus on songwriting for other people.  Stevens has since gone on to co-write songs for some of today’s biggest rock acts but has always felt he never received the closure he needed when it came to his own band. The release of The Exies Closure EP on June 28th, then, is both a metaphorical and literal way of getting it. “For What It’s Worth” is the new track off of that EP.
