Nielsen November ‘23 PPM Ratings are rolling in this week and I’m psyched to share some good ALT ratings news. Big month for KYSR (ALT 98.7)/Los Angeles (2.4-3.0) and KITS (LIVE 105)/San Francisco (4.0-4.5). Audacy RVP/Programming John Allers says LIVE 105 had another record breaking book in SF. LIVE 105 is now Top 5 overall 6+, Top 3 P18-49, Top 4 P25-54, and Top 2 P18-34.  Other 6+ ALT ratings increases so far include: KROQ/Los Angeles (1.9-2.2), WKQX (Q101)/Chicago (1.8-2.1), KVIL (ALT 103.7)/Dallas (2.8-3.1), and WRFF (ALT 104.5)/Philadelphia (2.1-2.3). 

Back to the music, I have VIP Access today for you on Blame My Youth on New Artist Discovery Of The Week. Brigitte Calls Me Baby gets the call this week on the ALT Video Spotlight with their new single “Impressively Average.” In Music Info, Shinedown releases The Library Sessions and Yungblud teams with Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes for “Happier.” Noah Kahan, Weezer & Foo Fighters will headline Shaky Knees Music Festival on May 3-5, 2024.

The Orchard’s Scott Burton & team lands #1 Most Added again with lovelytheband “nice to know you” for the third time in the last 4 weeks with 9 more adds and over 50 stations already on board. Lovelytheband is building inside the Top 25 on the Alternative chart.

Thirty Seconds To Mars “Seasons”checks in at #2 Most Added with Concord’s Angelo Scrobe & team posting up 6 adds on follow up to the chart topping single “Stuck” from the band’s sixth studio album, It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day. 

The Struts “Pretty Vicious” takes #3 Most Added as Big Machine’s Heather Luke, Allison Smith & team with 4 adds, including KPNT/St. Louis. The title track from the band’s fourth album is pushing Top 30 on the Alternative chart.

#4 Most Added is a 4-way tie with 3 adds each for Barns Courtney “Young In America,” bby “hotline” (new at ALT 98.7/L.A., KNDD/Seattle & KBZT/San Diego), The Last Dinner Party “Nothing Matters,” and The Revivalists “Gold Old Days.”

Rounding out the Top 5 Most Added this week is 4-way tie with 2 adds each for Bad Omens “The Death Of Peace Of Mind,” Mike Shinoda “Already Over,”  The 1975 “About You,” and The Moss “The Place That Makes Me Happy” (now trending inside the Top 25 on the Alternative chart).
