Happy Wednesday! The Black Keys is this week’s #1 Most Added on the Mediabase Alternative Add Board. Big news for David Barbis, now Head Of Promotion at Big Loud Rock. Big Loud also announces a big joint venture with Severance Records. Birmingham has a new Alternative station X100.1. I have all the details in The Latest Alternative News. 

This week’s Happens.vip Alternative New Artist Discovery Of The Week is Jay Putty. His single “The Best Days Are Yet To Come” is chart bound with KROX a new add this week. The ALT Video Spotlight Of The Week is KNOX “Not The 1975.” In ALT Music Info, there are two reunion performances happening at Coachella 2024 and Sum 41 announces final tour. The Last Dinner Party make their U.S. Late Night TV debut tonight on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Cage The Elephant is teasing on socials their new single “Neon Pill” coming Friday. The Black Keys #1 Most Added 

Congrats to Warner’s Rob Goldklang, David Ravikoff & team on posting up 60 adds for #1 Most Added on The Black Keys “Beautiful People (Stay High),” which arrived last Friday (1/12). The song was written by Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney with Dan “The Automator” and Beck. It’s one of several collaborations on the band’s forthcoming 12th album, Ohio Players, which drops on April 5th.

Mumford & Sons x Pharrell Williams “Good People” arrived midday yesterday and lands #2 Most Added. The good people at Glassnote – Michael Starr, Alex Whiley & team – log 25 out of the box adds. The collaboration was recorded and produced with Pharrell Williams in New York and Paris and debuted live yesterday at Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton Paris Fashion Week Show. The first new music from Mumford & Sons in five years. 

The third single from Foo Fighters “The Glass” is #3 Most Added as RCA’s Gary Gorman, Giancarlo Cordasco & team follow up last week’s blowout week with 10 new stations on the add board. “The Glass” follows the first two #1 singles “Under You” and “Rescued.” Foo Fighters Everything Or Nothing At All U.S. Stadium Tour dates begin May 7th in Raleigh.

#4 Most Added is Papa Roach “Leave A Light On” as the powerful ballad picks up 7 new adds, including KKDO. Karen Glauber & Ted Volk are QBing for New Noize.

Rounding out the Top 5 Most Added is Future Islands “The Tower” with Beggars’ Risa Matuski, Brien Terranova & team putting 6 adds on the board for the chart bound single. The band’s seventh album, People Who Aren’t There Anymore, is out next Friday (1/26).
