In Radio & Records exposure I have a photo/post from WAPS (The Summit FM)/Akron, OH PD Brad Savage, who made the drive to be at station to soak up the memories. The station lives on at

HotWax “Phone Machine” (Marathon Artists)

UK trio HotWax return with their new single “Phone Machine” via Marathon Artists. HotWax played first-ever U.S. tour with Royal Blood in November 2023. HotWax kick off 2024 playing #HAPPENS Las Vegas and SXSW. WEQX/Albany PD Jeff Morad says, “Phone Machine is an awesome follow up to Drop!  These teens really have punk figured out and we should not be sleeping on this fact…after all, Green Day got their start as teenagers and things seemed to turn out alright with the decision to play them on alternative radio!  Imagine passing on them then, that’s tantamount to sleeping on young punk bands today.”

Brigitte Calls Me Baby

Brigitte Calls Me Baby “Impressively Average” (ATO)

Chicago-based Brigitte Calls Me Baby lead single “Impressively Average” is from their debut EP This House Is Made of Corners released in November 2023 via ATO. The five-song EP was recorded with Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb.Lead singer Wes Levins says the lead single “Impressively Average” was “born from the contrast of self-love mingled with self-loathing. To me, it represents my obsession with presentation yet transparency. The song captures how I want to portray an image but with honesty. I want to go there even when it’s uncomfortable, and write unapologetically.”
