1. Please introduce yourself and give us the backstory on how and got started.
Yo, what’s up! I’m Knox and I got started playing music in Dayton, Ohio, playing around in restaurants for absolutely nobody (laughs). Nobody was listening to me (laughs), so I moved down to Nashville and started writing songs. Thankfully it got some people’s attention and started working out, and now I’m here.
2.How would you describe your music?
The music is genre-less. That’s how I describe it. It has a little bit of everything, there are pop songs, there are rock songs, there are hard rock songs.
3. Who are your biggest influences?
I think that there’s a little bit of influence from everything, but my biggest influences would be people like Ed Sheeran, Fall Out Boy, All American Rejects and Boys Like Girls. And to be honest, the Jonas Brothers. I’m just gonna say it – the “Joe Bros’ are sick!
4. What was the inspiration behind your current single?
I had a girl one time that I was trying to talk to – trying to turn the “riz” on – and I told her that I had a record deal and she said, that’s okay, but you’ll never be Maddie Healy. I thought that was absolutely hilarious, so I decided to write a song about it.
5. What would surprise people most about you?
I’m a complete loser! (laughs) I love Marvel, I love Star Wars, I love Legos, I love Lego-Fortnite, I love regular Fortnite. Yeah, I’m a nerd. Everything nerdy that you can imagine, I guarantee you I love it!
