Mid-West Family Top 40 WQLQ/Benton Harbor-South Bend, IN flips to Alternative as “Live 99.9 The Alternative” under Bill Gamble. The station is using the position statement “From What Was To What’s Next.”

Gamble said, “We looked at the state of contemporary music (CHR) Live’s format before the switch and found it hard to be optimistic about continuing in that format long term. So we decided to play better songs—songs that people like. There was a massive void in the marketplace for a station that plays Everything Alternative, making it a pretty easy decision.”

 Live 99.9’s on-air lineup is: 

Mornings – Brooke & Jeffrey

Middays (10am-3pm) – Samantha James

Afternoons (3-8pm) – Brooke Hunter
