Audacy Alternative KRBZ (ALT 96.5)/Kansas City is flipping to Sports as 96.5 The Fan (KFNZ-FM), effective August 15th. It ends a 22 year run for KRBZ as Alternative. The station rebranded from 96.5 The Buzz to ALT 96.5 in 2020.    

Longtime ALT 96.5 afternoon drive show, Church Of Lazlo – Lazlo, Slimfast and Snowcone – moves to sister KQRC (98.9 The Rock) for afternoons from 2-6pm (CT). Church Of Lazlo will continue airing on ALT 96.5 via simulcast until August 14th. ALT 96.5 will sign off at 6pm on August 14th and 96.5 The Fan will launch at 6am on August 15th.
