KYSR (ALT 98.7)/L.A.’s Sublime Summer Pool Party is this Saturday (8/24) at Yaamava Resort, hosted by Booker & Stryker. Sublime & Stick Figure “I Feel Like That” is now trending inside the Top 10 (#8) on the Alternative chart. Regime Music Group’s Mike Parrish says, “The metrics on this song rival those with multi-format airplay. The people have spoken, Sublime fans aren’t seasonal and this song isn’t just for summer. ‘Feel Like That’ is a true Alternative hit.”

Palaye Royale “Showbiz” (Sumerian)

Los Angeles trio Palaye Royale released their new single “Showbiz” on August 21st. It’s from their fourth album, Death Or Glory, set for release next Friday, August 30th. 

As an anthem to resilience and self-discovery, “Death or Glory” embodies the band’s artistic evolution and commitment to pushing the boundaries of glam-rock art-punk & brit-pop into a sound distinctively their own. 

The band says, “Death Or Glory is those split seconds of uncertainty as you are falling to the ground wondering if you will fly or hit the ground. It’s where chaos meets harmony and where we find ourselves struggling between ego and self destruction, success and desperation and last but not least death or glory.”

BOYS LIKE GIRLS “BLOOD AND SUGAR” (Fearless)

Andover, Massachusetts 4-piece BOYS LIKE GIRLS released “BLOOD AND SUGAR” on August 19th. It’s from the band’s fourth album, Sunday At Foxwoods, which was released on Fearless/Concord in October 2023. 

It’s the first new music from BOYS LIKE GIRL since 2012. It all started with BOYS LIKE GIRLS returning in 2022 to play both weekends of When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas. 

“We got out there, and it was euphoric for all of us,” said lead singer Martin Johnson. “I realized how fun, youthful, and beautiful it was to be on stage with my best friends. Seeing the state of the audience, it was deeply nostalgic, but there were also all of these kids who had never seen us. I looked at the boys and said, ‘We need to make a record. I’m going to put everything on hold until we go and say what we need to say’.”

 The band released their self-titled debut in 2006 and have platinum-certified hit singles “The Great Escape” and “Love Drunk.” BOYS LIKE GIRLS begin tour dates with Dashboard Confessional on September 10th. Find the tour dates HERE.
