Don’t remember the 1st record overall, but the first CD I bought with Def Leppard’s “Hysteria” in 1988. I didn’t even own a CD player yet…..I think I must have been manifesting.

I knocked the station off the air when I plugged my headphones into the old rotary board….the static electricity shorted something out……I had to open the board up…..flip a switch, wait 30 seconds, then fire it back up. Off the air the entire time.
