iHeartMedia Alternative KTBZ (94.5 The Buzz)/Houston morning show co-host Tessa Barrera announced on-air on December 17th that she is exiting The Rod Ryan Show on Friday, December 20th. Tessa joined The Buzz 5 years ago. She will continue to co-host Houston Life on KPRC-TV/Houston.

The Rod Ryan Show posted on social media: “Tessa dropped a bomb on the show this morning. Friday will be her last day on The #RodRyanShow. Before you freak out… SHE made this decision, it wasn’t made for her. We wish her all the best.”

KTBZ PD Elliott Wood said, “Tessa’s contract ended Sept 30, and she agreed to stay through the end of 2024 while we looked for her replacement.
