Happy Wednesday! This week’s Alternative Artist Discovery is Culture Wars. The band’s latest single “It Hurts” is heading Top 30 on the Alternative chart. The Lumineers “Same Old Song” is #1 Most Added this week on the Mediabase Alternative Add Board. Congrats to the Dualtone team on a massive launch!

The new single arrived one week ago and is already trending inside the Top 20 on the Alternative chart. The band’s forthcoming fifth album, Automatic, will be released on February 14th. “This album marks 20 years of songwriting between Jeremiah and me,” says Wesley Schultz. “The album explores some of the absurdities of the modern world, like the increasingly blurry line between what’s real and what’s not, and the variety of ways we numb ourselves while trying to combat both boredom and overstimulation.” The Lumineers.

Alternative Ratings: Nielsen December ‘24 12+ Ratings and Fall ‘24 Ratings are being released. Here are the latest Alternative stations to post up 12+: WEDG (103.3 The Edge)/Buffalo 3.2-3.3, WCYY/Portland, ME 2.0-2.6, and WRRV/Poughkeepsie, NY 2.4-2.8.
