Jack’s Mannequin Returns: Celebrating 20th Anniversary With The MFEO Tour
It’s been two decades since Everything In Transit painted the soundscape of a generation—a sun-drenched, bittersweet anthem to youth, heartbreak, and survival. Now, Jack’s Mannequin, the beloved alt-pop rock project led by Andrew McMahon, is back to honor the band’s 20th anniversary with The MFEO Tour, a North American celebration of their legacy and transformative music.
Launching June 4th in Portland, ME, and spanning 24 dates across the U.S. and Canada, the tour promises a deep dive into Jack’s Mannequin’s cherished catalog. A second leg of the the tour resumes in October, culminating in a grand finale on November 23rd in Del Mar, CA. Along the way, Jack’s Mannequin will make their debut at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre, headline shows in Japan, and appear at major festivals like Bonnaroo, SXSW, and When We Were Young.
“Jack’s Mannequin was born out of one of the most prolific and transformative periods of my life,” says Andrew McMahon. “The songs narrate my journey from youth to adulthood, heartbreak to marriage, cancer to remission. It’s been nearly fifteen years since we’ve toured this catalog exclusively, and it feels like such a gift to do so now, at a time when I can fully celebrate what we created together.”
For McMahon, this tour is deeply personal. Jack’s Mannequin emerged in 2005 as an outlet for his solo artistry following the success of Something Corporate. The band’s journey was marked by triumphs and trials, including McMahon’s battle with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) at age 22. His recovery, fueled by a stem cell transplant from his sister, not only saved his life but inspired the creation of the Dear Jack Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting young cancer patients and their families.
In addition to honoring their music, The MFEO Tour will contribute $1 per ticket sold to the Dear Jack Foundation. Fans will also experience McMahon’s commitment to fair access: the tour will use Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange to combat scalping and ensure fans have the best chance to secure tickets at face value.
The tour is named after the beloved two-part track “MFEO: Made for Each Other/You Can Breathe,” a cornerstone of Everything In Transit and a testament to the connection between McMahon and his fans. “This music is the thread that ties us all together,” McMahon adds. “It’s been such a joy to see how these songs have carried meaning for people over the years, and I’m ready to celebrate that love and connection onstage again.”
The MFEO Tour marks a reunion not just of music but of the spirit that defined Jack’s Mannequin—a spirit of resilience, vulnerability, and hope. Fans can expect an unforgettable live experience, a journey through a catalog that has soundtracked moments of joy, heartache, and everything in between.
