Iowa Western Community College Alternative KIWR (89-7 THE RIVER)/Omaha, NE will celebrate its 30th Anniversary on July 12th with 311, Sublime, Blue October, The Urge, Sick Puppies, and Anchondo at River’s Edge.

KIWR GM/PD Sophia John said, “After 30 years in the Omaha metro it’s about damn time we celebrate! 89-7 The River is proud to have been a part of the community for over 30 years. We’ve seen it all and have lived to celebrate. I’m so proud of all of the talent to come out of KIWR (Free Beer & Hot Wings, Spicoli, Nelson) with help from Omaha native’s 311, good friends Kevin Zinger and Sublime, Blue October, The Urge, Sick Puppies and Anchondo the future is so bright. Yes, I’m gonna be wearing shades come July 12th, 2025!”
