Dexter And The Moonrocks Announce New EP And Headline Tour
Dexter And The Moonrocks announce a new EP, Happy to Be Here, will be released on May 7th and the four small-town-Texas friends return to the road for their “Happy to Be (Everyw)Here Tour” headline tour kicking off in June.
The new six-track collection out via Severance/Big Loud Rock includes the band’s current single “Ritalin.” “‘Happy To Be Here’ is a little more emotional and feels more personal than ‘Western Space Grunge’,” says guitarist Ryan Anderson. “And with both EP’s on the new vinyl, you can really hear the difference between the two. On ‘Happy to Be Here,’ you can hear how we’re grappling with the industry and everything that comes with what we’re doing outside of just playing guitar, but also how everything keeps getting better and better at the same time.”
Dexter And The Moonrocks dropped a new song from the upcoming EP, “Say I…” and released the gritty new video shot in a Fort Worth, Texas bar, Billy Bob’s Texas with flannel clad line dancers, a rodeo arena, and a 10-gallon-hat filled bar brawl–that the band has become known for. The public on-sale for “Happy to Be (Everyw)Here Tour” starts on Thursday, April 2nd. Find the tour dates HERE.
