Former longtime Alternative WWCD/Columbus, OH “Independent Playground” host Tom Butler has launched a new music show, “Recess Radio” on Pacifica Radio Network Community WCRS-LP (FM 92.7/98.3)/Columbus, OH. The one hour show airs Sunday afternoons from 3-4pm. 

Butler says, “I’m continuing in the tradition of the Independent Playground and trying to find the best and most vital music coming from the underground. It’s an hour of new music from Alternative, indie, punk, garage, hip hop, shoegaze, and more with a healthy dose of local stuff as well.”

Butler began hosting “Independent Playground” on WWCD in 1998. In addition to his MD duties, he spent 21 years hosting nights on the station before moving up to afternoons.
