The GOAT Chews Up Hornell

The Goat expands into Hornell, New York.  97.1 WZHD Canaseraga/Hornell flipped from a simulcast of Classic Hits “My Cool Radio” 98.7 WPHD Corning/Elmira to Classic Rock. The Goat  is now simulcasting 1380 WOEN/96.3 W242CT Olean and 98.3 WQRS Salamanca/98.7 W254BQ Limstone. Compass Media Networks’ Dave & Mahoney are on The Goat in the mornings. Jimmy The Mick hosts middays, PD Casey Smith anchors afternoons, and Ultimate Classic Rock with Matt Wardlaw plays at night.

New LINKIN PARK Single & Additional Shows

LINKIN PARK — Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, Joe Hahn, Emily Armstrong, and Colin Brittain — released another new single, "Heavy is the Crown."  The song is the 2024 League Of Legends World Championship anthem.   They announced three additional stadium shows for 2024 in Paris, Dallas, and São Paulo.  The band's first album without the late Chester Bennington, From Zero, arrives November 15.  From Zero World Tour 2024: Sep. 24 - The O2 - London, UK Sep. 28 - INSPIRE Arena - Seoul, South Korea Nov. 3 - La Defense Arena - Paris, France Nov. 8 -

LINKIN PARK Dominates Billboard Hard Rock Songs Chart

Linkin Park’s “The Emptiness Machine” is No. 1 for a second week on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, which measures airplay, streaming, and sales activity. Several of the reconstituted band’s songs continue to dominate the chart.    Falling In Reverse is all over the chart, too. Roadrunner’s Chris Brown Among Layoffs

Chris Brown was among the massive layoffs at Atlantic Music Group, owned by Warner Music Group. Brown served as executive vice president at Elektra Entertainment and co-head of Roadrunner Records.  Cees Wessels formed Roadrunner in The Netherlands in 1980.  The label grew to international prominence (with offices in New York, among other cities) in the hard rock and metal underground with seminal releases from King Diamond, Obituary, Sepultura, and Machine Head. Type O Negative gave the label its first gold album; Slipknot was the first to go platinum. The label was also the longtime home to Nickelback (except in Canada).  In

BEARTOOTH Goes Platinum

BEARTOOTH can now add "platinum" to their list of accomplishments.  This week, the RIAA certified "In Between" platinum for sales and equivalent streams of over 1 million units. The 2014 single, released by Red Bull Music, went gold four years ago.
