One Putt Broadcasting Alternative KFRR (New Rock 104.1)/Fresno launches a new specialty show, "120 Buzz" hosted by Matt Davis. The weekly 2-hour Sunday night new music show airs from 6-8pm. The first show aired last night. A veteran of the Fresno radio scene, Matt has spent years on local KFCF, hosting "Left Of The Dial." Catfish And The Bottlemen Will Play First U.S. Tour In 5 Years
This October, Catfish And The Bottlemen will return to the U.S. for the first time in nearly five years and embark on a North American headline tour. The band delivered their comeback single "Showtime" in February from their upcoming fourth studio album, recorded and co-produced with producer Dave Sardy (Oasis, LCD Soundsystem, Rolling Stones). Last week, Catfish And The Bottlemen teased their return to the States with an Instagram post depicting New York City in black and white. Legendary Producer Steve Albini Dies Of Heart Attack
Sad to report the passing of musician/producer Steve Albini, who died of a heart attack on May 7th at age of 61. Albini's music career started as lead singer/guitarist of Chicago punk band Big Black in 1981. He later formed Rapeman in 1987 and Shellac in 1992. Albini left his mark on the Alternative format. He produced Nirvana - In Utero (1993), Pixies - Surfer Rosa (1988), and so many indie artists. In 1995, he bought Electrical Audio, a recording studio in Chicago.
