Austin 5-piece Culture Wars released “It Hurts” on October 23rd. It’s the follow up single to “Heaven” from the band’s debut album, if not now, when? that was recorded at Sonic Ranch Recording Studio, on a massive pecan farm 30 minutes outside of El Paso, Texas. “It Hurts is about the intolerable drunk woman at the end of the bar at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Drunk, divorced, trying to maintain her lifestyle while looking for her next husband. She makes bad jokes, says unknowingly offensive things, and tries to smile her way through life doing the best she can, the only way she knows how.”
