1. Please introduce yourself and give us the backstory on how you got started as a band.
We are Abigail, Georgia, Lizzie, Emily and Aurora, known collectively as The Last Dinner Party. We formed in the summer of 2020 over many bottles of wine and a drive to bring a sense of joy and maximalism to the London music scene where we forged our friendships.
2.How would you describe your music?
Equal parts ecstatic, tender, bombastic, theatrical, joyful and devastating.
3. Who are your biggest influences?
David Bowie, Sparks, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Florence and the Machine, Lana Del Rey, Queen.
4. What was the inspiration behind your current single, “Nothing Matters”?
The song is inspired by the statue “The Ecstasy of Santa Teresa” by Bernini and the way it combines the chaste imagery of religion with the erotic and carnal. It is a song about repressed sexuality within a Catholic upbringing and realizing it’s okay to fancy the girls in the paintings and the girls in the school choir.

We were born in ancient times and will never die!
