1. Please introduce yourself and give us the backstory on how the band got started.

My name is Kai James, I front Girl And Girl. The band got started in my mum’s garage, she lives on property in Queensland Australia, and Jayden and I would jam down there. Aunty Liss, our drummer, used to walk her dogs on the property and dropped in one day to mess around on the kit, whereby we sort of begged her to stay. A few years later our good friend Fraser Bell joined on bass. 

2. How would you describe your music?

I call it desperate rock, it’s bursting at the seams with thoughts and feelings I need to get out of me. 

3. Who are your biggest influences?

Parquet Courts, LCD Soundsystem, Black Country New Road, Gun Club, Black Lips. 

4. What was the inspiration behind your current single?

It’s about breaking negative thought patterns and routines, and how eventually that change has to come from within. 

5. What would surprise people most about you?

I studied ballet for 5 years and have a Zoology degree.
