Richard Blade Among Radio Hall Of Fame 2024 Nominees   

Radio Hall Of Fame 2024 nominees were announced today by The Museum Of Broadcast Communications. The 24 nominees, chosen by the Radio Hall Of Fame Nominating Committee, include longtime KROQ/Los Angeles on-air personality Richard Blade, who spent 18 years at the station from 1982-2000. Voting for inductees runs from May 20-June 3. More than 900 industry members will receive a ballot on Monday, May 20th, to cast votes for up to six nominated individuals. Jake Kaplan Exits Audacy

Audacy Director Of Imaging And Sound Design Jake Kaplan got caught up in the company layoffs last week. Kaplan spent over 20 years with the company. He started at WHFS/Wasington, DC before moving to L.A. to image KCBS (Jack FM), KAMP (AMP Radio), and help the Alt imaging team. For the last two years, Kaplan was in the newly created position at Audacy as Director Of Imaging And Sound Design at Audacy. Kaplan said, "I’ll continue to voice KNDD for Audacy. Also I voice other Alt stations like KFRR in Fresno… Definitely open for voice over on any Alt stations

Billie Eilish Announces Hit Me Hard And Soft: The Tour

Following the news of her highly anticipated third studio album Hit Me Hard And Soft, set for release on May 17, Billie Eilish has announced arena dates, produced by Live Nation, for her Hit Me Hard And Soft: The Tour. Starting in September 2024, Eilish will embark on her North American leg of the tour which runs through to the end of December 2024. WWCD Radio Signs Off

Sad to report that WWCD/Columbus, OH signed off yesterday (4/28). The station shifted online on February 1st and had a full weekday on-air lineup that included Brian Phillips (mornings), Laura Lee (middays), Tom Butler (afternoons), and DJ Nate (nights).
