Shinedown added to their record for the most No. 1 singles since the launch of Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “A Symptom of Being Human.” 

 

The band hit No. 1 for the first time back in 2005 with “Save Me” and most recently with “Daylight” in August 2022. “A Symptom of Being Human” is their 19th No. 1. 

 

Written by frontman Brent Smith and bassist Eric Bass (who also produced the track), “A Symptom of Being Human” is the fourth single from the band’s seventh album, Planet Zero. The Atlantic Records set was Shinedown’s first to debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart in July 2022.
