Veteran Rock Radio Voice Joe Kelly Passed Away
Joe Kelly, hailed as “the go-to” rock voiceover talent since the 1980s, passed away at the age of 82.
At one time, Kelly was the voice of ABC-TV, Radio City Music Hall, United Airlines, and stations like KLOS/Los Angeles, WNEW-FM/New York, WLUP/Chicago, and others.
Kelly was also the tour voice for the Rolling Stones, The Who, Bob Seger, Rush, ZZ Top, and many more.
Kelly’s son Harley posted a message to Facebook: “I have truly become a better man because of everything that I have learned from Dad over the years, and his soon-to-be grandson will know how amazing his grandfather was! Rest in peace, Dad! If God ever needs to make any announcements, he knows who to turn to! Love you, Dad!”
