PANTERA will play an intimate show at First Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

The long-running club was featured in the classic film Purple Rain, starring one of Minneapolis’ most famous residents, the late Prince. 

The special performance will take place on Thursday, August 15, the night before the band opens for METALLICA at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The reconstituted band features classic line-up members Philip H. Anselmo and Rex Brown alongside Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante and Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde. 

First Avenue announced the show on X (formerly Twitter). 

Rex asked me to write a story in the Vulgar Display of Power graphic novel anthology released by Z2 Comics, which I was proud to do.
