Pop-punk bands gave the House of Mouse a pair of new No. 1s. 

A Whole New World sees rock bands covering classic Disney songs, including “A Whole New World” (from Aladdin), “Part of Your World” (The Little Mermaid), and “Remember Me” (Coco).

The 12-song set debuted atop Billboard‘s Kid Albums and Compilation Albums charts (dated Sept. 21).

The album boasts Yellowcard, Mayday Parade, Magnolia Park, and New Found Glory, among others. “We grew up watching Disney movies with our families, and now we get to enjoy them with our kids, so it’s pretty amazing to have been invited to be on this album,” Simple Plan said via a statement earlier this year. 

A Whole New Sound is also No. 20 on Top Album Sales, No. 48 on Top Rock & Alternative Albums, No. 32 on Independent Albums, and No. 195 on the Billboard 200. A vinyl version is due next month.
