Las Vegas Stations Ban GREEN DAY
KOMP 92.3 is among the Las Vegas, Nevada stations to fire back at Billie Joe Armstrong by pulling Green Day‘s music. In a Facebook post, KOMP morning host Brandon “Gooch” Hahn called Armstrong, 52, “old and bitter.” He went on to insult the Bay Area, California group’s “four or five” most recent albums.
The handful of bans came in response to Armstrong’s comments regarding the Oakland A’s move to Las Vegas during a recent San Francisco performance.
“I f—— hate Las Vegas,” he reportedly said. “It’s the worst s—hole in America.”
Beasley Media’s Alternative KXTE (X1075 Xtreme Radio) also pulled Green Day from their airwaves.
